These gauges have a SS bourdon tube with steel socket. They are designed for use on the agricultural sprayer equipment that distributes and stores; ammonia fertilizers, chemical herbicides, pesticides as well as the fluids used for cleaning the equipment. Crop protection chemicals are most
effective when applied at proper rates. The spreading of the different types
of chemicals over crops is critical to the health of the plants, environment
and ultimately consumers. Over applications of any of these chemicals can
greatly increase the cost per acre for application, destroy crops or pollute
the environment, while under application can lead to smaller unhealthy crops.
To achieve satisfactory spray coverage,
spray application equipment must deliver proper application rates in gallons
per acre and desirable application pressures in pounds per square inch, The
actual range used will depend on the stage of crop growth (size) and the time
and method of application. Proper calibration assures safe, economical and
effective practices. To correctly calibrate sprayers - pumps,
nozzles, pressure regulators and gauges must be properly maintained. Our
gauges are used to set and monitor line pressure to the nozzles. |
